Brandon is a certified Hatha/Vinyasa Instructor and Reiki Practitioner.
He is dedicated to the teachings of Yogic Philosophy, awareness through
breathing and exploring the body’s healing potential. Whether
this is your first yoga class or you have been practicing for years,
you will be challenged and leave with a revived sense of mind and
body. His classes are rhythmic and fun, with an emphasis on meditation
and breathing. He encourages his students to breathe mindfully, strengthen
their body, while freeing the mind as they grow through daily practice.
Getting to Know Brandon...
1) Why did you start practicing yoga?
Originally as a gym credit my first semester of college in 93. It
was more
off than on until 08, then it became a steady practice.
2) How would you describe your teaching style?
Rhythmic, fun and meditative. At least that's what I would like people
to take from it.
3) Who or what is your inspiration?
Many things inspire me and it always changes. I try to find something
everyday. Music, science, people, family...
4) Tell us something that we would never guess about you?
Well, I'm not sure what your expectations of me would be. I love baseball,
wish I kept playing guitar and I always wanted to be an astronaut.
5) What is your least favorite asana to practice?
 |
Is this a trick question to see if I'm practicing
non-attachment? My least favorite would have to be Matsyasana,
aka, Fish Pose.
Only recently has a teacher worked with me on this where I feel
I understand what my body needs in the pose so I can benefit from
it.
I think I prefer a restorative fish so I can relax into the heart
opener. After practicing for a few days I realize I really do
like the pose. Thanks.
