All Yoga Life classes contain elements of seated centering, asana (postures),
pranayama (breathwork), relaxation and meditation, with each teacher bringing
her or his unique voice to the practice.
In that same spirit we encourage you to
make your yoga practice your own.
No pre-registration
is required for adult classes. Walk-ins are welcome.

Class Descriptions are as follows:
Beginner 1: This class provides
detailed explanation of each posture. Breathwork, “basic”
seated and standing postures, backbending and forward bending will be
introduced, including the use of props. A great way to lay the foundation
of your yoga practice or to enhance an established practice, this class
is suitable for all guests and recommended for those that are new to yoga
and/or Yoga Life.
Beginner 1/2: Building upon
the foundation laid in Beginner 1, this class dives more deeply into the
seated and standing postures, backbending and forward bending with an
introduction to inversions. Incorporating basic elements of Yoga Life
Creative Flow, moving on the breath and linking of postures is explored.
This class is suitable for guests that have had an introduction to yoga
and/or are new to Yoga Life and are looking to expand and/or enhance their
practice.
Creative Lotus Flow:
is an energetic flow that honors the signature Lotus Flow sequencing
created by Dana Flynn and Jasmine Tarkeshi of Laughing Lotus Yoga. This
style offers you the opportunity to tap into your creative energy through
each posture. In doing so, you will discover your own strength, flexibility
and balance within your own unique body and soul. This is an open level
class.
Open : Yoga Life Creative
Flow consisting of a combination of vinyasa (moving on the breath) and
holding of postures to build flexibility, strength and openness on many
levels. Variations of postures will be offered, with an invitation for
each guest to find the expression of the pose that is right for them in
the moment. Appropriate for guests with some yoga experience to an established
practice, we recommend you have familiarity with breathing and alignment
basics.
Power Yoga: With a focus on strength, endurance
and flexibility, this vinyasa-style class will get your energy and spirit
soaring. eel free to “power it up” to find your full potential
while exercising the power to listen to what your body and breath are
telling you. Due to the pace of this class, we recommend you have some
yoga experience and familiarity with the postures.
TAIYO: is
a highly developed and dynamic form of therapeutic bodywork designed to
facilitate mental and physiological healing. By releasing rigid tissue
and muscle, utilizing a wave like motion TAIYO unlocks one’s body
resulting in an elevated flow of Chi (energy).

Yoga Etiquette:
1. Remove Your Shoes
Please do not enter the studio with your shoes. Shoes can be stored underneath the benches in the "greeting area" of our space.
2. Turn Off Your Cell Phone
Help us to make Yoga Life cell phone free. Please power down your cell phone before entering the studio space.
3. Do Not Wear Perfume/Cologne
Many people are sensitive and/or allergic to perfumes and colognes. If you can refrain from wearing them it would be much appreciated.
4. Arrive on Time
Please make your best effort to get to class on time. This gives you the appropriate time to get set up and center before you start your practice.
New students: Please arrive 10 minutes prior to class to meet the teacher, fill out new guest paperwork and get yourself acquainted with the space.
5. Bring Personal Belongings Into the Studio
We have a space available to place your bag in the studio.
6. Neatly Return Props
Props can be a yogi's best friend. Please return the favor by placing props back in their appropriate places, neatly fold mats and blankets, stack blocks and hang straps. An uncluttered studio makes for an uncluttered mind.
7. Leaving Early
We completely understand that our schedules can't always exactly coincide with a class. If you do need to leave early, please inform the teacher. She or he will try to situate you closer to the door. If you are leaving early, make sure to take a few minutes for savasana before you do. Savasana helps you to soak up your practice and ground yourself before heading out.
